Rating: 3.5 of 5 Hearts
First, I want to
say that I loved Sabrina and Michael’s story. These two characters were
absolutely fantastic. Both characters are strong and independent who laced
together beautifully. I devoured this book in two days. I could not put it
down. I give the story a strong 4.5 hearts.
With that being
said, I need to mention that I did see many grammar and punctuation errors. So
many so that at times it pulled me from such a strong story. If you want to
lynch me, that is fine too. But I have always been honest with my reviewers and
felt I need to mention it.
I give the story
an overall 3.5 hearts.
You may want to have tissue ready for this
beginning. It had me sobbing.
Now that I have that all off my chest let’s
talk about this story. The beginning is a tear jerker. Author Mayra Statham
spent a lot of time letting us get to know Sabrina Miller. Her whole world was
shattered when she lost her husband.
Sabrina completely shut down and went through
the motions. She turned into a robot. She was on autopilot every day until she
crashed into Michael’s chest three years after that dreadful day. I was snorting out
loud at their collision. She has no idea this sexy man intentionally bumped
into her. But from the moment his strong hand steadied her she knew she was in
trouble. Mike ignited a flame from deep within her she thought would never exist
again.
Who can blame Sabrina though, Mike is
absolutely gorgeous from his stunning blue eyes that could render any woman
speechless to his hard chest and sexy smile. Not to mention how lickable he looked
in his suits. I was constantly picturing a sexy as all get out Michael Crown.
Michael Crown knew it was a bad idea to bump into Sabrina at the coffee shop. The only problem was how much he wanted to get to know her. She did something to him that no woman had ever done before. This woman could bring him to him knees. He wanted Sabrina more than he ever wanted anything in his life. The only problem is he kept telling himself she was too good for him.
She made him realize how much more he truly wanted.
Sabrina is such a likeable character that you
cannot help but root for her. She is a remarkable mom that just wants her kids
happy. She will put her entire world on hold to make her kids happy. The thing
is her kids want her happy as well and if Mike makes her happy it makes them
happy.
I loved reading the love and bond between Sabrina
and her kids. It was such a sweet thing
to read. Watching her kids learn to love
Mike was a delight to read. I even loved
her two besties that would walk through fire for her.
This book is all about love and acceptance.
Fighting for the one person you know is meant to be with you always. Even if
others may not agree.
I have always had an addiction to books. Once upon a time I wrote one, but was easily discouraged.
Today is a new day and have decided to put my work out there. My first series is called 6 degrees of separation... basing it on the theory where we are all connected, even if at the moment we might now know it, later down the road we see it.
The first book of the series is Crown's Chance at Love.
This is Sabrina Miller & Michael Crown's story. A story about second and sometimes even third chances, because everyone deserves love.
