Wow! This book owned me! I read it in one setting
and dragged my tush to work the next day with one massive book hangover. Alice
Tribue wrote such a realistic and captivating story that you could not help get
sucked in form the moment you started reading. My heart bled for Sage when she
realized she was going to have to become an escort just for a little while.
Fate has dealt Sage one hell of a hand, a family
that never really loved her, an ex-boyfriend that used her and left her in New
York City to practically drown.
Where do I start with Sage, this girl is funny,
sweet, and has a heart of gold. I loved Sage. Her ballsy attitude when people
pushed her especially Jackson Stone had me snickering. She didn’t care how much
he pushed her. She would not show him
the satisfaction of giving him what he wanted. She also put him in his place.
No one dared putting Mr. Stone in his place.
Sage hated what she did but she did it to
survive. What she did not count on was falling in love with the arrogant,
controlling Jackson Stone. She fought it
tooth and nail but you just cannot fight love.
Jackson Stone is one arrogant Alpha who always
got his way. He loved controlling all situations. He hated that everyone one wanted
something from him. My first impression of Jackson was you a** how dare you! I
literally wanted to smack this sexy man. He still had moments when he went all
‘I own you’ that I wanted to throttle him. But he slowly learned to be less of
a caveman.
He knew the moment he met Sage she was different.
She defied him to prove she could and stood up to him whenever she needed to.
Jackson was a very complicated man and assumed
the worst in everyone. Sage slowly broke down these walls and it terrified him.
One of my favorite parts of this book is their first Thanksgiving together. I
will not give away the deets but she did something for him no one had ever done
before.
And if that was not enough, when Sage became sick
Jackson showed her just how tender and loving he could be. He was in love with
her and this is how he showed his love. I was a giant puddle of swooning mush.
Lord help me that man owns a piece of me.
I loved watching these two fall in love and learn
that it was okay to trust one another. They needed each other more than they
ever knew.
And the icing on the cake was the HAWT sex. Lord
mercy Jackson knows how to drive a woman crazy! {coughs and composes myself}
These two knew exactly how to drive the other insane in the bedroom.
These two characters will always be dear to
me. I cannot wait to get this book on my
bookshelf!
