Thirty and single? Well, getcha ass to the Gathering! Wait… what?
Rebecca Twynham hates nature, loves a juicy steak, is not Marked, and thinks wolves come in one form: on four feet and with fur. So when she’s hauled to the annual werewolf Gathering by this scary as hell magical vortex, she’s pretty surprised to find out werewolves are real. With that new knowledge, she finds she still hates nature, she’d love a juicy steak, and maybe—she might be—Marked. Well, she doesn’t see a Mark, but she also has heavy scarring from a childhood accident—or was it intentional? Plus, she really wants to climb the gorgeous Alpha Pair, Aidan and Carson, like a tree. Luckily the two hot werewolves wanna sink their roots into her flower and… The nature analogies have gone too far.
Aidan and Carson have been a strong Alpha Pair for fourteen years. They’re tied together by their bond, and ache to claim a woman as their own. But while Carson has always been the GQ ladies’ man, Aidan has been the afterthought—the heavily scarred and frightening werewolf who’s caused more than one woman to faint.
When they find Rebecca hiding in the Bad Doggie ballroom, they rejoice that they’ve finally found the one for them. Except with curvaceous, delicious Rebecca, their roles are reversed. Instead of rushing into the arms of sleek and sexy Carson, Rebecca clings to Aidan. Carson should rejoice in her acceptance of Aidan, but jealousy rears its ugly head, destroying their triad before it has a moment to form.
Then things go from jealousy-driven bad to worse when the five families decide there won’t be any more Wickhams joining the wolfy family trees.
Oh, right, she forgot that part. Apparently her Wickham cousins are kind of a big deal in werewolf land. Big.

This book is my new favorite! I know, I know, I keep saying this but Celia Kyle just keeps steppin’ it up a notch. This book brought a lot more than humor. And it was filled with the belly rolling humor. But this time Rebecca and one of her boys has some hurt to get over. I think that is what made me love this one so much. We got to have some angst without it driving us insane.
Poor Rebecca Twynham has no idea about the Alpha Gathering or about werewolves. She thinks it is all mythical. Her family hid it from her from the beginning. And when this girl magically appears to the gathering… It was hilarious. Poor girl thought she had lost her mind.
Lucky for her that her cousins is the H.B.I.C “Head Bitch In Charge” Yep. You guessed it. Scarlet lets everyone know her butt rules The Gathering. And her boys let her. We know what happens when they argue with her!
Rebecca has to scramble to her feet and sort through the craziness because her mates find her and want her instantly. Adian Hall instantly does the “Mine!” and she doesn’t know what to say.
Our boy Adian Hall is covered in scars from a very painful childhood. He is dark and brooding with everyone but Rebecca. He does not let anyone in. I loved how she never even notices his scars. She treats him has hers even though she doesn’t know why. This really made me all swoony.
Now for mister Carson Holland the All American Hot as Hell Alpha that women bow to and just want to nom on. Except Rebecca. She wants him but not more that she wants Adain. This man was not used to being treated as an equal even with his Alpha partner.
I loved how Carson realizes he is a complete idiot and almost lost everything he ever knew he wanted.
Rebecca helps both of her boys heal and in return they let her know that they do not see her burns. They see her and love her for who she is.
It made me all mushy!
I would love to see more of all four women with their wolves in the future. I know there are two more books headed our way! Thank the lord. But then I am hoping Author Celia Kyle writes a few more books with these ladies. There is so much she could do!
Ex-dance teacher, former accountant and erstwhile collectible doll salesperson, Celia Kyle now writes paranormal romances for readers who:
1) Like super hunky heroes (they generally get furry)
2) Dig beautiful women (who have a few more curves than the average lady)
3) Love laughing in (and out of) bed.
It goes without saying that there's always a happily-ever-after for her characters, even if there are a few road bumps along the way.
Today she lives in central Florida and writes full-time with the support of her loving husband and two finicky cats.
