Victoria Ashley did it again with this book! Hemy was one HOT read that left me
wanting more. I mean fan yourself and cross your legs HOT! Hemy will make you
beg for more once he is finished with you.
Hemy and
Onyx are both two very complex characters.
My assumption about Hemy from book one with Slade was way off. That is
one thing I love about Victoria’s writing, what you assume to know about her
characters is never the case. She does a fantastic job at planning her
characters back-stories so we are surprised when we learn what truly makes them
tick.
I loved reading Hemy and Onyx’s story. Hemy Knox was one smokin’ hot character that had a side to him that only a few people
knew. Hemy stripped to numb the pain of losing the only true love he ever had.
When he bumped into Onyx again his world spiraled out of control. He needed her like he needed air.
Onyx
never got over Hemy. She has loved him since the day they met. But sometimes
love just isn’t enough. Onyx left town one day and never looked back. She had not intentions of telling Hemy she
was back. It is a good thing that fate had other plans in mind.
I
absolutely loved the sexual tension these two had for each other. Hemy fought for what was his and let everyone
know that Onyx was what he wanted. He
owned Onyx’s heart and body even if she did not want to admit it. I loved how
hard she tried to keep her guard up and keep Hemy at arm’s length.
If you
are looking for a hot book that will get your motor running without tons of
angst you should pick this book up!
