I enjoyed this novel from the beginning. I liked that it was told with flashbacks which helped us better understand where Aria, the heroine, was coming from. I wish we could have had Blade’s point of view because he really intrigues me.

Aria and her mother lost their family in a car wreck 11 years ago. They have battled the demons since then, but her mom is finally happy with another man and Aria is soon introduced to his sons.

It turns out that one of her new step-brothers is also the one guy who has haunted her world for the last year. He was her one weekend of fun that turned into an obsession of sorts. She really cared for him and felt a deep connection, but he left in the middle of the night and that was the end...until now.

Aria isn’t the strongest heroine, but the connections she makes with Brody & Lee, the other two step-brothers, are really strong as well. I enjoyed the way she finally came to see these extra people in her life as family. Everyone has their secrets and everyone has to find a way to live with them or share them so that others can help you cope.

Blade and Aria have a heated relationship that is on again, off again throughout the book. I kept cheering for them and then hating them. I would recommend you read this book if you’re looking for something a little different that will keep you turning the page to see what stupid thing Blade does next.
