Ryker Powers was the biggest prick I’d ever met.
He was also my biggest mistake.
He’d taken what he wanted then left, and I detested him for it. Not that the jerk had cared to stick around long enough to know how I felt.
Everyone thought he was a perfect gentleman with all his quiet intensity but I knew better.
I knew he had a filthy mouth. That he liked things dirty.
He may have had people fooled into thinking he was a nice guy but I knew exactly who he was.
He was a bad boy who’d ask for a light from the devil himself.
And I wanted to see him burn.
Until I realized—to my utter horror—that what I really wanted was him.
Who was going to get burned now?

4 out of 5 stars

Francesca and Ryker are a lot like the other Powers Brothers in this series and yet their story kept me reading until the very end and I loved every second of it!!!

Francesca has dreamed of marrying Ryker and having beautiful babies with him, but after a one-night stand she thinks her dream is over and that she’ll never have what she’s spent the last two years dreaming of.

Her friends convince her to try again and that only leads to more heartbreak, but somehow between college classes and their student teaching together, they develop a friendship -- with the benefit of sex, of course!

The book isn’t without drama and their love isn’t instant (at least not for Ryker), but I really enjoy Ms Bentley’s storytelling and the process that Ryker and Frankie go thru to get together.

Though this story is the typical good girl wants bad boy, but bad boy isn’t really into relationships, Ms Bentley did a wonderful job of keeping the story fresh and making me want to keep reading. I’m sad that we’ve now met all of the Powers brothers, but I'm excited to see what I can read from this author now.

USA Today Best Selling author Harper Bentley writes about hot alpha males who love hard. She's taught high school English for 23 years, and although she's managed to maintain her sanity regardless of her career choice, jumping into the world of publishing her own books goes to show that she might be closer to the ledge than was previously thought.
After traveling the nation in her younger years as a military brat, having lived in Alaska, Washington State and California, she now resides in Oklahoma with her teenage daughter, two dogs and one cat, happily writing stories that she hopes her readers will enjoy.
