This book is well written, but there were 8 guys and trying to keep them all straight and their relationships straight all the time was a bit confusing. Usually I don’t like 3rd person POV, but in this book I honestly did like it. I enjoyed being able to get a little bit better glance inside of everyone’s heads. Learning what makes them tick and what the were thinking. The guys at Wild Bluff are all former military now carrying out jobs that no one knows about or wants to know about. They might not be totally legal, but they are definitely what the guys all feel are right and just. I enjoy reading M/M books, but sometimes I felt like it was crazy that there would be all of these ex-military guys that were the best of the best that were all bi or gay. Billy & Tucker are the only guys who actually developed any kind of relationship in the book and let me just say, she made it plenty HOT. After Tucker gets hurt, Billy finally confesses his true feelings and they start working on a relationship beyond just being best friends. Roger is the newbie to the group and he immediately feels a connection with Grant who is basically 2nd in charge. However both Grant and Roger have previous relationship issues that need to be worked out before they jump in the sack together. Both of them lost the men who they thought would be the loves of their lives. Roger’s was killed and Grant’s just took off. I’m sure that in future books the pair is likely to find more in each other. Duff is the first in command and though we don’t see or hear much from him, what we do see of him tells me that he is definitely a good guy and feels very strongly and the men at his ranch. He makes sure that all the missions that the guys are responsible for are carried out with humanity’s best interest and heart - even if they might not be all that legal or what others would call “nice.”
