This trilogy has really won my heart. These three brothers with such different jobs, but a love for family that surpasses so much more than that. Drake “Maddox” Black has been mentioned in the other two books, but this book is all about him. He’s a country music superstar who I imagine to be like Brantley Gilbert.
Victoria Raine is an FBI agent with about six months on the job. She graduated top of her class and is beautiful to boot. She’s excited about her first undercover assignment despite not knowing anything about her new boyfriend.
This story starts with drama and kept me on the edge of my seat while reading. One of my favorite things that doesn’t always happen in books, is having a great best friend. Kate is Tori’s best friend and colleague and this one line in the book was all I needed to really fall in love with her:
“Whatever you did with that man, no matter how depraved or shameless, is perfectly justifiable,” Kate breathes. “God, he’s sexy.”
I read this trilogy back to back and that could be why it felt a little repetitive in this book. Drake is a lot like his brothers in that he likes total control - in and out of the bedroom. He does take it a step further than the others, but it’s still AlphaMale at it’s best.
The author does a great job of using words to really help me visualize and enjoy the relationship as much as Drake and Tori are:
We’re an island of two in a sea of dancers, and I can feel the heat radiate off his skin, the hardness of his body next to mine.
It’s like I wished on a star and found out he holds the constellations in his hands.
I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys Alpha males and just enough action to keep you reading. And the sex scenes are pretty hot, too.
Fearless (Black Brothers Trilogy Book 1)

Emma and Beckett are a couple that I will not soon forget.
Emmaline Hart is a single mom who is a freelance writer. She does everything from magazine articles to brochures for local businesses. She meets Dr. Beckett Black when she goes to show her latest brochure to a doctor who practices with Dr Black.
Their connection is instant and HOT! After only 2 dates, Emma’s thoughts are seriously in the gutter, so to speak:
I absolutely shouldn’t sleep with him on what is technically only our second date, but the long repressed reckless part of me is not listening. That part is reminding me that I have put myself and my needs second for thirteen years and I deserve this. I also want it more than I have wanted anything in a long time. For once, I’m determined to allow myself and indulgence, and this sexy, powerful man is definitely an indulgence.
Their relationship is fast and furious and Beckett almost always says just the right thing.
I hope I have ruined you for any other man, because I don’t intend to share you. Contrary to your opinion of me, I do not take that many women to bed, and I have never for a second thought of you as a conquest or a challenge.
I love finding new authors who can give me the Alpha male with a strong female counterpart. I like characters who see growth thru the novel and for a story to really go somewhere. Brynley did
just that!
Even when Emma doubts herself and their relationship, Beckett is able to show her just how much he values her...while also putting her in place:
“I can assure you, Emmaline, that while I think you’re many things, including frustrating, opinionated, independent, intelligent, beautiful and sexy as hell, breakable is not one of them.”
I really loved this book, including the twist towards the end, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a book about a strong woman who loves her alpha man.
Matchless (Black Brothers Trilogy Book 2)
When her boss asks for her help on a high profile intellectual property case, the last person attorney Mila Kingston expects to walk into her office is the gorgeous stranger she had an unforgettable one night stand with on her birthday. Navy SEAL Griffin Black has been upfront since the beginning that he's not looking for love or commitment, which is just fine with Mila, who's focused on her career and certainly doesn't have time for a charming playboy. However she can't pass up the opportunity to represent Griffin and his brother in a landmark trade secret case involving a plant from the Amazon with the potential to cure cancer and the greedy woman who will stop at nothing to possess the rights to the research.
Although Mila's determined to keep him at arm's length, the more time she spends with Griffin, the harder it is to resist his easy going charm and his promises of forbidden pleasures. Before long, Mila is entangled with Griffin in a battle for the rights to medical research that could change the world of medicine, as well as her heart.

We met Griffin Black in the first book of this series, Fearless. He is another hot alpha male. His woman, Mila Kingston, is also a strong character. She’s an excellent lawyer who just so happens to be out celebrating her 30th birthday when they meet.
I love the energy and connection they make on the dance floor...and in the bedroom, too. What is supposed to be a one night stand turns into a working relationship, with benefits.
I like that in one night, Mila can go from feeling totally in the moment and just enjoying it while it lasts and then finding herself feeling more than just a little. Like these two thoughts that happen one right after the other:
Even though our time together is like a meteor shooting through the sky to a finite end, I’ll still take the blaze of the extraordinary, no matter how brief.
He takes a step forward and envelops me in his strong arms, and I inexplicably feel like I’ve just come home.
With plenty of twists and turns to keep you on edge, this book does everything so well!
The one thing about Griffin I love more than anything else is his strong need to take care of those he loves. He won’t let anything happen to anyone he cares about.
