Like most people I have been eagerly awaiting this book, but since it wasn’t about the same characters, the wait wasn’t the end of the world. And while, I loved Camden and Keegan, I think I love Turner and Annabelle more!
Turner is the big brother and Annabelle is a friend of Keegan’s. Turner and Annabelle meet at Keegan’s graduation party with the Brooks family and Annabelle hurts her ankle playing baseball in flip-flops. Despite a strong first connection and desire, they don’t immediately start dating. In fact, Annabelle is determined to stay far away from anyone, especially Dr Turner Brooks.
From the crazy dates to the crazy love, Turner and Annabelle had me on pins and needles throughout the book. I am so glad that I was given the chance to share in their love story because it is a wonderful one to be told!!!
Sometimes in this book world, I feel like people put too much emphasis on the sexy scenes, the ones that are hot and full of passion, but in this book I really, really enjoyed the building up of the sexual tension. The fun, playful dates and the times they were just in the same room and not even touching. There was a lot of story before they ever had sex and I really appreciated that!
And then there’s the whole Brooks family. The parents, Paul and Donna, are amazing...I wish I would have had in laws like that! And the brothers, well, we know they’re all crazy. I must say that Macie & Dodger are getting a bit too much air time in these stories and I feel like if theirs isn’t the next book, I may not want to read about it. Get their stuff together or just give up. Damn!
Ms Borel just has a wonderful way with words and I’m so happy that she shares them with us. Give this book a try and I think you’ll enjoy it!
