The very first sentence of this book had me laughing and shaking my head! I knew Author J. Daniels was going to take us on one heck of a ride. And boy was I right! I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard in my life!! {Eyes J.} You caused a good 20 coughing fits! I could not breathe woman!! {flails and gives J my Oh. My. Heavens face.} I think you need a warning label that states if you are sick and having trouble breathing please be warned this book my cause serious coughing fits.
All fun aside, this is hands down my favorite of J. Daniels books. Yes, I love my Bama boys but man oh man Mason and Brooke take the cake! Or should I say cupcake?! You can tell J. Daniels but her heart in this book. It is full of steamy scenes that would make most blush. I personally loved every single one of them. Just sayin’. But she also filled this book with such a great storyline that kept me glued to the pages until the wee hours of the morning. I seriously couldn’t put this book down.
From the moment Brooke Wicks is introduced to us, I knew she would keep my full attention. This woman was after my own heart. She knew what she liked and how to get it. She has no shame in it and shouldn’t. I adored this girl. Brooke was quick whited, determined as heck, and full of sauciness.
Here is a few of my favorite Brooke moments. This was so hard because I swear this entire book is highlighted.
“I’m Brooke Wicks, and I love sex.”
“How the hell do I know how you boys manage to tuck and move?’
“I want him to want me so badly he can’t remember anyone before. I want him to distract me so I’m not completely terrified of what this is or what it’s becoming.”
"I'm with you."
Brooke character evolves so much in this story. She goes from what she thought she wanted in life to realizing that maybe, just maybe she had it all wrong.
Now let’s talk about one hot as heck Aussie Mason King! Holy cow! This man oozed sex and doesn’t really know it. Even when Brooke keeps telling him his voice could make anyone do anything he doesn’t believe her. Me. I totally believe her! And underneath all that sexiness is the sweetest, dirty talker I have read in a very long time. Seriously, no woman stands a chance against that charm and dirty mouth.
I would give you some of my many Mason King highlights but… they are too hot for a review or they will give something serious away. So, I will give you what I think is the funniest moment instead. Seriously, I laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe and caused one heck of a coughing fit.
“Willie!” A woman yells, waving her hands in the air running at me.
Jesus F*$*$! Can she see my cock from there?
Heart racing I look down into my adequately concealed lap.
No. Everything is good here. Nothing hanging out.
I want to thank J. Daniels for giving us little glimpses into Tessa and Luke’s life. I love those two so stinking much. And for letting us in on Dylan and Reese’s life. These two have been busy! I loved every moment of it.
And no review is complete without mentioning my man Joey Holt. Oh how I loved him in this book. He was perfect and just how I thought he would be. Joey and Billy were the cutest couple!
