4 out of 5 stars

This book drove me crazy!! I kept reading Charlotte’s thoughts and thinking she was an idiot. HOWEVER, I couldn’t stop reading her thoughts. I saw it all playing out in front of me on the Kindle, but I was still shocked as things happened.

Charlotte was a naive adult woman. She didn’t have any real relationship experience and she didn’t know what she was getting into when she started seeing Logan. I despised Logan from the 2nd or 3rd meeting. He was a control freak and I spent many hours trying to see how Charlotte could be so blind to everything he was doing to her.

When the accident happened and Logan was hospitalized, I was hopeful he wouldn’t come out of it, but no such luck. I can’t believe how wrapped up in them I became while I read. I really wanted to throat punch Charlotte many, many times.

I liked how the story was told - the prologue catching back up about half way through the novel. I enjoyed knowing that she was going to escape (at least try) when I realized exactly what kind of guy Logan was.

I don’t like weak heroines, but I found myself rooting for Charlotte here and there and was surprised at how she handled things. She was such a strong willed person and then to become a slave to Logan’s whims was shocking. HOWEVER, I do know the power of guilt and he was really good at stacking that on her.

Overall, I enjoyed the writing and the story, but the characters seemed unreal. How could she deal with all of that bull and stay with him? How could she shift her feelings so easily when he wanted? How could you not know the kind of work your significant other was in? There were so many questions for me, but you know what? I kept reading because the story really sucked me in.

Author Bio

When I was still in High School, one of my friends smuggled in a book she had found in her Mom's bedside drawer. It was Princess Daisy by Judith Krantz. As a group we giggled over the steamy sex scenes in that book, but I was more than amused, I was intrigued (amongst other things) and asked if I could borrow it.

Well you know what? I never actually gave it back and I realize now, that was the beginning of my love affair with erotica. It wasn't long before I began writing my own erotic stories, all of which are still hiding away in a dusty briefcase in my wardrobe. Apart from an embarrassing discovery by my mother in those earlier days, my experience has been a positive one and I continued writing for my boyfriends and eventually my husband, all of whom loved my work.

At my husbands encouragement I decided to publish one of his favorites "Taking Jenny" onto Kindle last year and 30,000 sales of my stories later, here I am. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you continue to enjoy my stories...I have lots more to tell.
