Loved it! My face hurt from all the smiling I did while reading this book. This book is about first loves, second chances and how life throws you many curveballs but if you fight for it you can get the HEA you so badly missed out on that first go around.
L.B. Dunbar did such a great job with this book. Her leading characters are relatable. The book is well written and will keep you enthralled throughout and you will be laughing out loud at some of the humor.
Lily Warren deserved an HEA more than most heroines I have read lately. This woman had missed out on the love of her life twenty years ago. She had moved on and devoted her time to her bakery that was taking off. She was a good person but just needed to find that right someone to settle down with.
Then there was Burt Paige/ There were so many things I loved about Burt. He was a great father. He was an honest man who put his family and the family business first. But boy did I want to smack him numerous times when it came to Lily aka his Lily Pad. He was an absolute screw up when it came to his girl sometimes.
Burt and Lily have a hurtful past they must work through, but one thing is always present even if they will not admit it to the other and that is that they have always loved the other one.
This story is sweet, funny and will leave you feeling right with the world. I cannot read more books from L.B. Dunbar.
