Jasmine and Elliott fall in love in high school, but then are separated by many miles for many years. Once Jasmine returns to the only place she ever felt like was home, Elliott is no longer the same shy, musical guy she met in high school.

I enjoyed the story and the way it was told from both points of view. I enjoyed the “extras” especially TJ. I enjoyed getting to know more about music and the words of Ms. Cherry brought me to my knees many times because I could feel their struggles and their troubles as if I were experiencing them myself.

I cried some tears of heartbreak and some tears of joy. I loved some scenes and wanted to close my eyes through others. This book is definitely a journey that everyone should embark on!
