4 1/2 out of 5 stars

This was a very strong story that kept my attention throughout. The story progressed at a nice, steady pace and their relationship wasn’t forced or rushed. I enjoyed how it all happened.

I loved the main characters - Mia & Jared - who met in the most interesting of ways...I also loved the supporting cast: Jordy, John, and Brian. It was just an amazing group of characters that felt more real than others I’ve read recently.

This is a first book for me by this author, but I’m eager to read more of her works. If all of her books have the patient, loving heroes with strong, tough heroines and support casts that make the story that much brighter, I can’t wait to dive in!

Freya Barker inspires with her stories about 'real’ people, perhaps less than perfect, each struggling to find their own slice of happy. She is the author of the Cedar Tree Series and the Portland, ME, novels.
Freya is the recipient of the RomCon “Reader’s Choice” Award for best first book, “Slim To None,” and is a finalist for the 2016 Kindle Book Awards for “From Dust”. She currently has two complete series and three anthologies published, and is working on two new series; La Plata County FBI—ROCK POINT, and Northern Lights. She continues to spin story after story with an endless supply of bruised and dented characters, vying for attention!
