Lis and Roman. Heath and Clare. Two couples and one AMAZING story!

I loved Retrieval, the first book in the duet, BUT I really, absolutely, totally LOVED Transfer. It picks up exactly where Retrieval leaves off and we really get a better look at Clare’s story. I enjoyed having all four points of view and knowing what was happening from so many angles in

this story.

Roman was a great man for Lis and I enjoyed watching him go alpha-dog and come back into her life with a vengeance and rediscover their connection and love, BUT Heath was so much more than just an alpha-male.

I can’t believe how much I loved Heath. It seemed like every time he would talk, I was highlighting his words. He just constantly made me want to really know him and bring him into the real world so I could fight Clare for him!!

Early in the book he admitted that while he was undercover, he was still the same man and he wasn’t a lie:

“The man you met that first day at the gym was a lie. I’ll admit that. But the person you got every single day after that was me.”

And he just got better and better with those words. One of my favorites was about beliefs, but it just makes that part of the story so much better so I don’t want to quote it in the review, but you’ll know as soon as you read that his words are like magic powers!

This story is about so much more than you would have thought at the beginning of Retrieval and I feel so honored to have been able to read it. Ms Martinez messed with my emotions in a big way, but I loved every page of this novel and wish it would have gone on for much longer. I don’t think I could ever get my fill of these characters.

Meet Aly Martinez

Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Aly Martinez is a stay-at-home mom to four crazy kids under the age of five, including a set of twins.
