Synopsis
Stevie is a tattoo artist and a free spirit. She’s covered in tattoos, cusses like a sailor, and is quite brash. She lives payday to payday, can barely pay her rent, and uses a bicycle as her only mode of transportation. Every man in her sordid past has abused her, and she’s reached the end of her rope. Only attracted to tattooed alpha males, and primarily bikers, she begins to wonder if her choices in men have been poor. One day as she stands in a torrential downpour without a ride, a handsome man in a suit offers her a lift in his Porsche.
And she can’t help but wonder…
Wilson is a successful businessman and a self-made millionaire. He’s handsome, intelligent, loyal, and unlike many other men with similar interests and wealth, he’s got an extremely colorful personality.
But he also has a secret.
While having one of the worst days of his life, he meets Stevie. Immediately, his views on matters, and on life, change.
And he chooses to change her life in return.
But Stevie and Wilson are from two totally different worlds - worlds that historically don’t mesh well.
Can a self-made millionaire find love in someone who has nothing to offer him but herself?
Can a woman who has only known pain, abuse, and inconsistency see value in stability and sincerity?
Quite possibly only if both halves are willing to meet somewhere in the middle.
Review
Rating: 5 of 5 Hearts

From the moment I started reading Pretty in Ink, I knew Scott Hildreth had out did himself. This story is raw, hot, and kept me laughing.  I loved that Stevie was not the normal cookie cutter lead so many write.  You cannot help but to instantly fall in love with Stevie Satterfield and her no hold bar personality. Stevie is one of those characters you will always remember.

Scott laid out Stevie and Wilson’s story for us beautifully, from the very first line in the book when we meet Stevie you know she is going to be awesome.  What I did not expect was how in depth and planned out Stevie and Wilson’s story would end up being. I was captivated from the beginning to the end. The way Scott slowly gave us their backstories kept me glued to the pages.  I just had to know everything about them both.

One of my favorite things about Stevie was that even when someone would assume they knew who she was or that she was about she would surprise them. Stevie needed someone like Wilson to love and understand her even when she thought that was impossible. She did a great job at keeping people at arm's length. I am just glad Wilson pushed her in only the way he could.

Wilson and Stevie may have been raised worlds apart but they were more alike than they realized. I loved watching their love blossom and become more than either fathomed.

“What are you looking at?”
“The most beautiful woman in world,” he responded as he reached for the door handle.
It’s really hard to be a bitch when you say things like that.

Wilson was a lost man. He had given up on happiness and even companionship. He did not trust and did not communicate well with others. This poor man was misunderstood. Thank the lord Stevie was great at teasing and getting underneath that armor he had built up to protect his heart.

I am not gonna lie, I was dying to know Wilson’s full name as I read along. And when I finally read it I chucked at how perfect it was.

I swear the entire book is just about highlighted on my kindle. I am just afraid I will give too much away with any of my highlights.

I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. I feel like Lightning's story will be amazing. What little we learn about him in this book has be completely intrigued.
