Well, L.B. Dunbar did it again with Silver Player (The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge #2). It was captivating, fun, sucked me in from the moment I met Billy (William) Harrington and Roxanne (Roxie) McAllister characters. Their chemistry was so stinking hot. That push and pull with the slow smolder drove me bonkers in the best way.
When we first meet Billy, he is thrown for a loop by a gorgeous young woman who has come into his bar. Sadie drops the bomb she is his child and walks out. Seriously, I chuckled. Poor guy. Then to find out she is the niece to his archnemesis aka the woman he likes but will not admit it.
I adored Roxie's character and how she did not just fall over for Billy. There was some conflict in this book that had to be worked out. They had to become what Sadie needed. This book was refreshing and just what I needed. Not everything is as it seemed when we first started reading.
By the end of the book, you will have fallen for Sadie, Roxie, and Billy. This a One-Click for sure.
