Title: His Beauty
Series: Wounded Souls Series, Book Three
Author: Leah Sharelle
Genre: MC/Former Soldier Romance
Release Date: June 30, 2018
You, Beauty, are the love of my life.
Steel was one of the best snipers the commando’s had ever seen. He was the V.P of the Wounded Souls MC and ran the club’s Bar and Grill. Steel was also desperately lonely. He tried to fill the void in his heart with the wrong woman. Callie was easy, she didn’t make him use his heart. The path he secretly wanted to take, would led him to the woman he really wanted.
Can he trust her enough to show that part of him he hides behind the playboy image?
Mia loved Cooper Steel with her whole heart. A heart that Steel kept breaking every time she had to watch him go off with her sister. She has to be content with working side-by-side with Steel as the bar and Grills manager. When the danger that was stalking the club is focused on Mia, she turns to the one person that made her heart beat faster with just one look.
Was she a glutton for punishment, or can she learn to trust Steel’s promise she was the only woman for him?
3 1/2 out of 5 stars
This series has me intrigued. I really want to know who the Rogue is and I really want to see Creed find his HEA, but it’s got a few issues that keep it from the 5 star status for me.
Steel irritated me through the first two books with his “girlfriend” Callie and her pure evilness. While Mia was the sweet, innocent one of the group. She deserved better than Steel from everything I’d seen, but he proved me wrong with his actions.
I enjoyed several things about this book like the continued mystery of Rogue and the way the entire club is focused on him - and that we get to keep in touch with all of them that we’ve met in previous books as we continue with the series. I enjoyed the deep connections that the characters have with each other. I liked that Creed played a little more role in this one (as he’s my favorite of the MC guys so far).
However, it drives me nuts that these women are virgins who then automatically love all things in the bedroom. This one was bad because Mia repeated the phrase “Jesus, Mary & Joseph” whenever she was excited, confused, or just about anytime and it just didn’t fit for me. BUT I did love some of the quotes from Steel to Mia like this one:
“You were never my second choice, Mia. You are my only choice, the right choice. My heart’s choice.”
Overall, i am enjoying this series and will continue with it because I’m so curious about the identity of Rogue. He went crazier than normal in this one and I can hardly wait to see what he does next.
I love the idea of being in love. Since my early teens when I first discovered Silhouette Desire novels my life has been all about reading. I would find myself re-writing scenes if I wasn't happy with them and hiding them under my bed. That led me to writing love stories of my own. They all ended up under the bed and are still there, and there they will stay. I don't do angst, in fact it drives me crazy.
I am a mum of three beautiful girls, Australian, and have what most say is a weird sense of humor.
I spend my free time doing movie, Sons of Anarchy, and Friends marathons. And reading.
I love Pina Colada's and getting caught in the rain..... there's that weird humor.
