5 out of 5 stars
Let me just start this review with the fact that at 15% into this book, I found myself crying like a baby and wanting to read further just to put my mind at ease.
Mia is facing a horrible fate when she runs to Tai for help. Tai is the last person most people ask to help, but he proves that most people don’t know him very well. He comes through for Mia in a very big way...and their relationship is a slow build from there.
Their relationship is slow building, but it’s hot when it happens. They find themselves in some crazy predicaments and they find themselves in some emotional turmoil. They support each other and find support from others as well. The story line flowed well and the novel just found purchase in my heart.
I’ve read several books from several different serieses by Ms Vale, but I dare say this is my favorite book so far. She really worked the emotions and the characters were very well developed. The story line moved at a perfect pace and I really fell in love with all of the characters, not just Mia & Tai. I can’t wait to read more of this series and see what happens to the rest of the guys on the Kilgore Fire/Police Departments!

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
